广东11选五 We are accepting applications for postdoctoral fellows interested in the study of ATP-dependent chromatin remodelers and their regulation of gene expression, chromatin dynamics and nuclear architecture. ATP-dependent chromatin remodelers are gatekeepers of the cell and are crucial for maintaining pluripotency as well as for differentiation with mutations of these remodelers causing cancer and other diseases. We use mouse embryonic stem cells and yeast as our model systems along with cutting-edge genomics, structural and chromatin biology to uncover the molecular basis of these chromatin remodelers in cellular development/differentiation and oncogenesis.
One project is studying the structure and function of the INO80 chromatin remodeler, its role in chromatin dynamics and exchange of histone variants. Another of our projects is on the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeler and how cancer associated mutations might impact its role in promoting differentiation versus de-differentiation/pluripotency through regulation of RNA polymerase II pausing and long-range chromatin interactions. These are NIH-funded project in the laboratory of Blaine Bartholomew. These positions require a Ph.D. and expertise in cell/molecular biology, biochemistry and bioinformatics.
